DAILY DEVOTIONAL

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the revealed things belong to us and our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 29:29

- Moses was nearing the end of his life. He knew that he would soon die without being able to enter the "Promised Land". In his last words to the people of Israel, he stated that there are hidden things for us. These are things we will never understand in this life. They are beyond our human understanding. - Three attitudes can help us deal with what we cannot understand: - Trust - Even if we do not understand what is happening, we can trust the Lord, understanding that He knows what is best for us. - Obedience - We don't need to understand to obey. Trust will lead us to obedience, even if we don't understand everything. - Humility - Obeying without understanding also requires humility. Humility will help us to accept what we do not understand. ---- Trust and obey with humility!- Acknowledge that God is sovereign over your life.- Believe that God wants the best for you, even if you cannot understand.- Accept what you cannot understand.- Do what needs to be done, even if you don't understand. to pray: Dear God! I recognize Your sovereignty and Your care over my life. I know I often don't understand what's going on. I often don't understand the purpose of things, but I decide to accept, even if I don't understand, and obey, even if I don't understand. May the Lord help me to move forward looking only to You. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen!
