Every man is subject to higher authorities; because there is no authority that does not proceed from God; and the authorities that exist were instituted by him." 

Romans 13:1 

Thoughts: When we understand the principle of authority, we are submissive not because of the fear of being punished, but because of the awareness we have that all authority comes from God, and when we are subject to authority we submit directly to our God. Rebellion is an illegal attitude. Those who plant rebellion will reap the fruit of their rebellion. The rebel always ends up badly. There are two paths: submission and obedience to the blessing or rebellion and disobedience to the curse.

Prayer: Lord God, teach me daily to be obedient and submissive to thy word, I know that all authority is instituted by the Lord, raise me up daily in his authority. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
