COME TO ME !

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

" Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is mine soft, and my burden is light." 

Matthew 11:28-30

THOUGHT:  We could call this the irony of discipleship. Following Christ means that we leave everything to follow him. Following Christ means that we receive countless blessings in this life and eternal life with God in the life to come. So is it difficult? Yes, sometimes it is. But life is hard. Is the burden Jesus promised light? Yes, because we know that we don't live our lives in vain, that we are living this life as God wants it, and that when life here ends, it doesn't actually end! We are privileged to go home and be with our Lord!

Prayer: Gird me with courage, O God, to face the challenges I have to face. Gird me charity to deal properly with those I meet. Give me gratitude for all the Lord has done to bless me. thank you sir, because living for you Jesus is the best choice of all. In the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen.
