CUIDE DOS NECESSITADOS!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"The religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their difficulties and not be corrupted by the world"

 (James 1.27).

THOUGHT: We don't know what tomorrow is. Today others are in dire need, but tomorrow it could be you and me. Our life is like a vapor that rises but quickly ceases (James 4:14). So what is the reason to despise the poor? "He who oppresses the poor with this despises his Maker, but he who treats the needy kindly honors God" (Proverbs 14:31). Do good, help those most in need and do not turn your face to those who lack your "helping hand". Don't just think about yourself, but have compassion for others, love them and practice the Word of God by taking care of their privations. "Let each one take care not only of his own interests, but also of the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4).

Our brothers in Christ who are also short of food, clothing, or money to pay the bills should also receive our attention. In times of crisis in Brazil, many have lost their jobs and are facing difficulties. We need to unite as the Church of Christ and "embrace" these people. Many have wives and children to support. The Bible says that if we love God, we must bless those who are in need. Doing this is the same as serving Christ. "And the King answering will say to them, 'Truly I say to you, when you did it to one of these little brothers of mine, you did it to me'" (Matthew 25:40).

PRAYER: My God and my father in the name of you and savior Jesus Christ, help us each day to advance in your work, give us conditions to be able to help more and more people. Providence, we are here to do your will, we praise you and magnify your name in the name of Jesus, amen.
