"Just as you do not know the way of the wind, nor how the bones are formed in the womb of a pregnant woman, so you do not know the works of God, who makes all things."

Ecclesiastes 11:5

Thought: I don't know. I do not know! This is one of the most difficult phrases for us to use. But in thinking about God and His ways, it's the only thing we can say. What we know about God is only what He, in His grace, chose to reveal to us. He is the Mystery of Mysteries. He is the supreme knowable Unknown. But what we do know about him, what he has revealed to us through Jesus, is that he is loving and merciful.

Prayer: To the Lord, I can only offer my praise. When I consider the vastness of the universe that our little blue planet revolves around, I am in awe of its marvelous complexity and sovereignty. At the same time, Abba Father, thank you for reaching out to us. The Lord is better than anything I know, the God who transcends space and time, and also God my Father who is always near. Thank you for being accessible but not penetrable, available but not controllable. I thank you and give you praise in Jesus name. Amen.
