And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.' 

Matthew 28:20 and Isaiah 55:6 

Thought: At all times when Jesus sent out His disciples, He gave them this promise: 'And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age' (Matthew 28:20). Literally, the words everyday mean 'always', according to Greek language scholars Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown. Jesus didn't just say 'always', but 'every day'. Such an affirmation includes our various activities, the good and bad circumstances that surround us, the various responsibilities we have in the course of our days, the storm clouds and the brightness of the sun. Our Lord is with us, no matter what each day brings. It can be a day of joy or sadness, of sickness or health, of success or failure. No matter what happens to us on this day, our Lord will be walking by our side, giving us strength, loving us, filling us with faith, hope and love. As we surround ourselves with quiet tranquility and security, our enemies retreat, and our fears, anxieties, and doubts begin to diminish. We can endure any situation and circumstance because we know the Lord is near, 'Therefore I am with you'.

PRAYER: Father, here I am and asking you to be with us, protecting us from all evil, and leading us to eternal life. Strengthen us every day and let us do our part, for you are faithful. AMEN.
