I HAVE HIDDEN YOUR WORD IN MY HEART!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

I have kept your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you.

Psalms 119:11

- We are prone to error since we were born. No one teaches a child to blackmail, tantrum, disobey or be selfish with their toys, for example. Yet she has acted this way since the early years of her life. Sin is that invisible evil, glued to our gene, that makes us sin even when we don't want to do so.

- When Jesus entered the history of our lives, He saved us from the terrible curse of sin. We were slaves to a merciless master, who conditioned us to think, feel and act according to the greed and malice of our hearts. However, through Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh (John 1:14), we can keep in our hearts the Truth that sets us free, so as not to sin against God.

Keep the Word and practice it!

- Hiding the Word in the heart presupposes being in constant contact with it. Read, study, seek to truly know and love the Holy Bible.

- To keep the teachings of the Scriptures you can memorize, record or study biblical verses and stories.- Memorize at least 1 verse a week. At the end of 1 year you will see how much of the Word you will have internalized.

- Sing the Word. Seek to hear and learn songs that speak of the biblical message.- Seek to hear the preaching of the Word, reread, meditate and live what you have learned.

To pray: Lord, thank You for Your Word that teaches, cleanses and frees me from all sin. Help me to keep everything I have learned so that I don't sadden You by doing what You don't like. Teach me to be more like Your Son Jesus Christ in love and attitudes. May I always be willing to love, read, study and practice Your Word all the days of my life. In the name of Jesus! Amen.
