LIVING IN PEACE REQUIRES EFFORT!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Strive to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:14

- It may not seem like it, but we have to admit, living in peace with everyone requires a personal effort. Living in peace requires of us temperance, kindness, goodness, meekness, self-control, qualities of the fruit of the spirit that we only develop by entering holiness. 

- God has never hidden from us that His Kingdom is taken by effort and that to find it we must seek it. Through the pursuit of things above 

- as a consequence - the fruits of the spirit are visible in our lives. To live in peace with our brothers and sisters is to live in peace with God, with a heart free from hurt and demands.

- Living in peace is a worthwhile effort, because above all we are the first to benefit from these acts. And every peaceful attitude bears good fruit and bears a good witness. This kind of attitude is also part of announcing the good news of the Lord. It's no use talking about the peace that exceeds all understanding and living with an aggressive and reactive behavior to any situation.

- When Jesus spoke of the 'Beatitudes', most of them want a peaceful heart and all of them are a reflection of holiness to the Lord. In the face of so many blessings and promises, living in peace and holiness is an effort worth pursuing! Be saints!

Exercise peace and seek to sanctify yourself

- The best way to begin to sanctify yourself is to meditate on the Word of God. In it we have all the guidance and all the necessary source to feed our spirit. 

- Prayer is our faith in action, it is the moment where we must strive in faith and worship. God hears the prayers of his children and wants to hear our voices! 

To Pray: Lord God, pour out your spirit on me. May Your move in my life reflect Your love and may my actions reflect Your action on me. May Your peace overflow in me and reach those around me. In Jesus name, amen!
