DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"Therefore thus shall ye pray: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen."

Matthew 6:9-13

.Thought: This prayer that Jesus taught His disciples is an example, a model of how our prayers should be. It begins with worship and praise of God the Father. Seek the fulfillment of His promises for our daily life and forgiveness of our sins, seeking the strength and victory of the Lord. In closing, he gives honor and glory to the Governor of the Universe, the Redeemer of humanity. Model prayer begins with the assurance that God is our Father, and that motivates us to glorify Him. Jesus practiced prayer regularly and often, and he taught us to pray too. Its great objective has always been to bring people back to God through redemption and adoption as children. The Lord's Prayer contains seven petitions for spiritual blessings and only one request for material needs. We always need to remember that. The Lord's Prayer reveals Jesus Christ. Surely, in Him all the words of this prayer are centered. What are the first words? Our Father, who art in heaven. It was on the cross that these words became possible, and shortly after the resurrection Jesus said, "I ascend to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." John 20:17. The Savior died for us.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for teaching us how to pray, we are totally dependent on you. We want to ask you, my God, don't let us lack: faith, hope, long-suffering and trust, because we want to reach the heaven of glory, which you prepared for us. God I ask you for this day, peace and grace to overcome struggles and adversity. I thank you God, for you are our God! You are worthy of praise and honor forever and ever!!! I know you will not forsake us!!! I believe in this prayer. I believe in you. I want to thank you, because we don't deserve so much love. But You loved me first and we are grateful for this matchless love. Love you Jesus! May your Holy Spirit always remain in us! In the name of Jesus. Amen.
