BELIEVE, PERSEVERE, THE VICTORY COMES!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL 

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." 

James 1:12 

Thoughts: This beatitude comes from the brother of Jesus. He had experienced it! James knew it was worth it to stand firm and persevere when attacked. He affirmed that God loves us and that He has made incredible promises regarding what lies ahead for us. He knew that our probationary period would soon become a time of great blessings. 

Prayer: Dear Lord and Father, thank You for all the times You have strengthened me when I was being attacked, and sustained me when I was weak and ready to give up. Write "perseverance" deep in my soul, and give me a spirit of tenacity so that I can serve You no matter what happens in my life. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
