Just be careful! Be very careful, so that you never forget the things that your eyes have seen; keep them in memory for your whole life. Tell them to your children and grandchildren. Deuteronomy 4: 9

This is an important reminder and warning for each of us: DON'T FORGET GOD! Generally, our memory tends to be selective: it discards less important things, that we stop thinking about or that we abandon. If we disregard God daily,

we do not meditate on His Word, if, in practice, we treat Him as insignificant, surely our memory will erase Him.

- The Bible often encourages us to remember God:

- in the battles of life (Nehemiah 4:14)

- in the dark nights (Psalm 63: 6)

- in time of pain (Jonah 2: 7)

- in the days of youth (Ecclesiastes12: 1)

- far from home (Zechariah 10: 9)

Never take your heart away from everything you have seen and learned with the Lord. This will be precious when the crisis arrives. In the most difficult times your memory will help you to find hope and faith to continue.

To Pray: Lord, help me not to forget your kindness, mercy and love. May I keep your words in my heart so as not to sin against you. And that it reminds me, every day, that you are the Almighty in whom my soul can trust. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen
