GOD IN FREEDOM FROM SLAVERY!

20/03/2021

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery."

Exodus 20: 2

God identified Moses in that strong way before declaring the 10 commandments. So God affirmed His authority and made it very clear what He had already done.

Before talking about the future, God showed who he was in the past and the present. He did not abandon his children - since Egypt - and remained God. After presenting himself, God gave a direction to the people on how to continue in freedom and obedience to Him.

God doesn't just want to set us free, He wants us to remain free. Just as he did with the Hebrew people, God sent us the very living word that is Jesus. The objective is clear: God wants us to continue growing, so we are born again and learn new things every day in Jesus.

Freedom is an ongoing process and God wants to keep us free!

Keep free!

- The best way to stay free is to read the Word of God, in it we find guidelines for our life.

- God wants us to use our freedom as a way to glorify His name. Use your life as an instrument in the hands of God.

- God wants us to take the word of freedom to other captives. There are many people in the world who need to be set free.

To pray: Lord, thank you so much for freeing my life from the chains of sin. I am grateful to You and I want to announce Your word of Salvation. I know you've done it and will still do bigger things in my life, thank God!
