DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Isaac said to his father Abraham, "My father!" "Yes, my son," answered Abraham. Isaac asked, "The coals and wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham replied,

"God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two continued to walk together.

Genesis 22:7-8

- These verses narrate a time of great ordeal that Abraham went through with his son, Isaac. It is the well-known story in which God tests the patriarch's faith by asking him to give him his beloved son. It was certainly an unparalleled test, but it was only a test, for God did not want the boy dead. Abraham proved that he had faith and obeyed the Lord in everything. He knew that God, who gave the promised son, is faithful and if necessary would raise the boy or provide the lamb for sacrifice. And so it happened: God provided! And also in your life, He will provide!

- Like this story, sometimes our faith is tested. And, even without understanding the circumstances, we need to trust the Lord, because through the struggles we face we learn to depend more on Him. Employment, health care, material resources, clothing, etc. are all important needs, but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:31-33). Fully support your faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, for He will supply all your needs, in Christ, for His glory! By faith,

God will provide!

- Seek constant guidance in God's Word. He provides the wisdom you need to make the right decisions. To

Pray: Lord God, I want to thank you, because You, Lord, have taken care of me. Even with difficulties, I believe you are in control of my life. It provides what I really need, not what I want. Also help my family, Your Church, my brothers in Christ and friends in their daily needs. Bless our country and supply the needs of our people, Lord! Give me wisdom to manage well the resources the Lord gives me. Open doors, Father, and do your will in me. In the name of Jesus! Amen.
