HIS WORD OH GOD STRENGTHENS US!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"My soul in sorrow sheds tears; strengthen me according to Your Word."

Psalm 119:28

Thoughts: 'The psalmist was distressed, distressed, but waiting. In one of the verses, he gives thanks for the suffering because, in this way, he sought God and found life, pleasure, truth, love, mercy, help, peace, praise, and everything in the Word. God did not immediately remove sorrow, but showed the psalmist how precious the Scriptures are, in which he took great delight. God acts like that. He prefers to make himself known, rather than fix the problem right away. He prefers to work on your heart, to lose you for simple well-being. God invests in your life, desiring to have intimacy with you. Don't take long to find out who Jesus is, read the Bible. It has great promises. One of them is in Psalm 119:50 "This is what comforts me: Your Word gives me life."

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being sovereign. I know that you know everything, and that we are small to understand many things the Lord does. But Daddy, I trust you. In the face of suffering, I want to pick you up. Help me. Help my brothers too. Meeting you is my pleasure. Your Word is beautiful and true. Thank you, my beloved God. In your name, amen.
