HOW TO PLEASE GOD?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever approaches him needs to believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."

Hebrews 11: 6

What is the first step in pleasing God? Is it to stop sinning? Or do something very good? Or follow all the rules? No. The first step is to believe. Without faith, none of these things pleases God. 

Alone, you cannot do anything to please God or deserve His favor. Only faith in Jesus saves. You need to believe that Jesus will make the transformation within you. God just wants you to believe that He exists and has the power to save you and transform your life. When you believe that, God guides your life to live as He pleases. 

 Strengthen your faith: 

- If you have not yet dedicated your life to Jesus, declare your faith in Jesus today and decide to follow Him for the rest of your life.

- Faith comes by hearing Christ's message - read the Bible.

- Join with other Christians to hear and share all that God has done in your lives.

To pray: 

God, I believe that You exist and that You love me. I believe that you sent Jesus to save me and to give eternal life. I want to live to please you. Please come and transform and guide my life, so that I can live to please You. Help me to have more faith in You and to trust all parts of my life in Your hands. In the name of Jesus, amen.
