JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, HEIR OF EVERYTHING!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL 

"Since God formerly spoke many times, and in many ways, to his parents, through the prophets, he spoke to us in these last days by the Son, to whom he made heir to everything, by whom he also made the world."

Hebrews 1: 1-2 

Thought: Paul is differentiating Jesus and the Old Testament prophets, so there is no doubt. Since the Word comes to the prophets, and there was a man on earth manifesting the Word of God, He was a prophet. But Paul wanted to show that Jesus was The Prophet, The Son of God, The Incarnate Word, The Messiah, The Heir and our Lord and Savior. 

Prayer: Lord, Your Word is a lamp for our feet, it is light for our path, and whenever the night becomes darker, whenever life becomes more difficult the Kind Savior, the Light of the world, the Light that shines through the darkness, comes to take us back to Home, to take us back to what is Original, back to what is right for what is true. Just as the apostle Paul was used to reveal this truth, may the Lord use us to bring the truth to people who do not yet know it. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
