DAILY DEVOTIONAL

'Going forward a little, he prostrated himself on his face, praying and saying: My Father, if possible, pass this cup away from me! However, do not be what I want, but what you want.'

Matthew 26:39

THOUGHT: The night Jesus was betrayed, He was in Gethsemane with His disciples. It was a difficult time. Jesus was in a deep agony of spirit. He was about to give up His life to be killed and crucified. You can imagine His affliction and His anguish right now! However, He still manages to leave us another good example, teaching us that in the midst of tribulations, the best thing for us to do is to look for a reserved place and bow down to God. Jesus confessed his anguish to the Lord, then submitted to the Father's will, and thanks to His obedience He brought us the hope of the resurrection, and gave us the right to eternal life with Him.

PRAYER: Lord God, eternal Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I place myself before your presence, thank you for everything, even in the most difficult time you have faced, here on earth, you said pass this cup and your will be done , so are we , strengthen us each day and lift us up and may we until your life say pass this cup from me , however your will be done , it is what I pray you , in the name of Jesus . Amen.
