DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of a valley that was full of bones. and, behold, they were very dry. And he said to me, Son of man, will these bones live? And I said, Lord GOD, thou knowest. Then he said unto me, Prophesy concerning these bones, and say unto them, Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD."

Ezekiel 37:1-4

Thoughts: In this passage, the prophet Ezekiel is taken by God, in spirit, to a valley of dry bones. Then God asks if those bones could live, and Ezekiel then gives us an example of unquestioning faith in the power of God, and answers the Lord that He is the one who knows, that is, if God wills there can be life yes. Then God tells Ezekiel to prophesy and we can continue reading the story and see that an army then arose from that pile of dry bones. In the same way God wants to act in our life these days, He says to prophesy about our lives, and where he is dead, there is life. 

Prayer: Thank you God, for you teach us that the prophesied word, and the power that is in the name of Jesus can change our lives. Don't let us use contrary, negative words, on the contrary, the Lord raises us up7 as a Prophet of the nations to prophesy, prophesy about your life, about your home and family. I pray in Jesus name. Amen
