THOUGHT: This beatitude comes from the brother of Jesus. He had experienced it! Tiago knew it was worth it to stand firm and persevere when he was attacked. He stated that God loves us and that He has made incredible promises regarding what awaits us in the future. He knew that our time of trial would soon become a time of great blessings. 

Prayer: Dear Lord and Father, thank you for all the times the Lord has strengthened me when I was being attacked, and supported me when I was weak and ready to give up. Write "perseverance" deep in my soul, and give me a spirit of tenacity, so that I can serve you, regardless of what may happen in my life. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
