THE GENEROUS SOUL WILL PROSPER!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"To the one who gives liberally, more and more is still added; to the one who retains more than is just, it will be in sheer loss. The generous soul will prosper, and the one who gives to drink will be thirsty.'

Proverbs 11:24-25 

Thoughts: `The law of planting and harvesting and the law of multiplication are as real as any other law in the universe, they were all established by God, just like for example the law of gravity, believe it or not, but they do exist. Observing nature we see these principles, whoever sows a seed of wheat will reap wheat, whoever sows rice will reap rice, and yet for each seed planted we reap the fruit with many seeds inside. When we put our money in the bank, we reap the same amount, plus interest. But when we sow in the Kingdom of God, the law of planting and reaping, and the law of multiplication will inevitably be fulfilled, so whoever sows generously will reap generously. 

PRAYER: Thank you Lord that You are faithful to fulfill Your word. I have seen not only in my life, but in the lives of many how good it is to sow and invest in the Kingdom of God. Teach each one of us each day to have a generous soul, being motivated mainly by love for the needy. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
