"My brethren, have it with all joy to pass through various trials, knowing that the trial of your faith, once confirmed, produces perseverance."

James 1:2-3

THOUGHT: The teaching of this verse is tremendous because we understand the meaning of our trials. Trial is different from temptation. The ordeal is that situation where our faith is tested, usually the ordeal happens in the form of adversity that rises against us, and the temptation is the situation that tries to get us out of the way, but the ordeal when overcome, this one, it produces the perseverance, promotes our human and spiritual growth and brings us closer to God. We are like the gold that needs to pass through fire to be refined and purified. So if you are going through, even if it is a trial by fire, praise the Lord, wait a little longer, hold on and soon God will bring deliverance into your life.

Prayer: Dear Father, give me spiritual eyes so I can look beyond circumstances, teach me to look with good eyes on the trials I have faced, know that they will promote my growth and draw me closer to You, and help me to praise the Lord, even in the midst of battles. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
