THE VERB MADE FLESH AND INHABITED AMONG US!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth, and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father."

John 1:14

THOUGHT: `The Son came to this world to bring the glory of God, to make it accessible to us miserable, lost, sin-laden men, and to bring us into that glory. What glory is it about? The Lord Jesus Christ himself answered this question in the priestly prayer when he said: "And now, O Father, glorify me with yourself, with the glory which I had with you, before the world was" (Jn 17:5). In His own person Jesus brought us the glory of God, a glory so great that no man can bear it, a glory that He already had with the Father before the foundation of the world.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for Your Glory, for Your Grace, and for sending Your Son into the world to save us. May we keep our eyes fixed on you each day, and may your name be glorified in us. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
