TOUCH THE CLOTH!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"And behold, a woman, who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind him and touched the hem of his robe; for he said to himself: If I only touch his robe, I shall be well.' 

Matthew 9:20-21 

THOUGHT: During the walk to the chief's house, a woman who had suffered twelve years of irregular bleeding approaches Jesus in search of healing. Twelve years of bleeding! Therefore, she lived excluded, because, as we said, at that time blood made a person impure. Mark reports that the woman had spent her entire savings on doctors and, instead of getting better, she got worse (Mark 5:25-26). She had heard about Jesus (Mark 5:27). Therefore, a new hope was born in her. He said to himself: 'If you just touch his clothes, I'll be cured.' The teaching of the time said: 'If I touch his clothes, he will be impure.' The woman thought exactly the opposite! Sign of great courage. A sign that women did not agree with everything that the religious authorities taught. The teaching of the Pharisees and the scribes could not control the thinking of the people! Thank God! The woman came up from behind Jesus, touched his clothes, and was healed. 

PRAYER: Dear Father, just as You delivered and healed this woman, I ask that You also bring deliverance for all those in need, if there are still areas where the enemy works, if there are still prisons you don't even know about, soul ties, curses, works of witchcraft, finally, that all actions of the enemy in my life may be canceled now, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
