"Therefore whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever rebels against the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him." 

John 3:36 

Thoughts: Many people believe in God's goodness but not in severity. They believe in eternal life, but not eternal punishment. God always hates sin, always hates iniquity, and his wrath always remains on the rebels. The wrath of God does not come and go at a divine whim, but is the consequence of our disobedience. Any concept of love that excludes punishment and justice presents a perverted doctrine about God.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for your justice, and thank you that you have the best in store for those who obey and love you. Never let us come is far from you Lord Jesus, I never want to taste of Your wrath, much less taste of eternal punishment. I want to have eternal life in heaven, together with the Lord, with Jesus and with my brothers. In Jesus' name, amen.
