But some fell on good ground, and it bore fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.

Matthew 13:8

Thought: This parable warns that anyone who has received the seed of the gospel message can prevent them from producing a good harvest. May we be attentive, vigilant every day and with our heart as fertile land to plant and reap good things in the name of Jesus. Bible verses from the

PARABLE OF THE SOWER.

1. On the same day, having Jesus left the house, he sat down by the sea;

2. And great crowds gathered around him, so that he got into a boat and sat down; and all the people were standing on the beach.

3. And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow.

4. And as he sowed, a part of the seed fell by the wayside, and the birds came and ate.

5. And another part fell on stony places, where there was not much earth: and straightway it sprang up, because it had no deep earth;

6. But when the sun came out, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.

7. And another fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it.

8. But some fell on good ground, and it bore fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.

9. He who has ears, let him hear.

(Matthew, 13:1-9)
